The South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC)'s biggest commercial radio station, METRO FM is celebrating 30 years of excellence in broadcasting.
The station will host METRO FM Summerlife Festival at Marks Park, Emmarentia on Saturday, 24 September 2016. The festival will boast a line-up of South Africa's finest musical talent. It will offer festival goers two stages with more than fifteen acts and a spread of gourmet food and drinks to keep them in the 30 years of METRO spirit.
The historic and legendary Skwatta Kamp are unifying for a unique once off reunion show together with 15 other artists and DJ's in celebration of the 30 years of music that METRO FM has provided their loyal listeners. Line up includes artists like Kwesta, Mafikizolo, Lira,Mi Casa, Liquideep, Sipho 'Hotstix' Mabuse, Unathi as well as Shimza, Fifi Cooper, A-Reece, Naked DJ, Lerato Kganyago, Lulo Cafe, Mo Flava and more.
Marks Park, Emmarentia sets the perfect setting to host this sonic summer blend of 30 years of METRO, offering top local wine and whiskey tastings and great activations for all to enjoy.
